Our History
On the 1st August 2015, Vestner NZ Limited purchased the assets and successful lift business of Pandect Ltd. Vestner was originally founded in Munich, Germany in the 1930’s with the production of steam driven rope elevators and has remained a family run business since that time.

With a strong desire to enter the Pacific/Asia region Vestner indentified Pandect as having similar philosophies to Vestner; a reputation both in New Zealand and Australia of quality service provision and innovative products for access solutions. Vestner will continue to design and manufacture products in Christchurch developing the Pandect brand and its products under the Vestner ‘umbrella’.

Pandect itself was founded over 30 years ago in Christchurch, became a trusted name in access solutions and developed to be known as the platform lift specialist for New Zealand. This position, allowed Pandect to establish very strong relationships with health authorities, local councils, education providers, health professionals, architects, construction companies, project managers and the wider community who used the products daily.

Vestner NZ Limited now holds tender rights to supply the greater health sector, which serves as a testament to the Pandect brand of lifts being safe, durable, cost effective and suitable products for clients with disabilities. This is also evidenced by Pandect lift having a very strong focus on compliance with National and International Standards and disability requirements..
