Mehmet Kayhan has started his industrial life in a small workshop by making casting patterns in 1950. In 1951 he produced the first workshop type press. In time, this workshop has turned into a business where the special machines were repaired, and then by changing its place in the 1960s, it became a workshop that replacing truck engines from front to rear. Some agricultural machines have also been designed and manufactured here.

In the 1970s, KAYAHAN has been a well-known producer with 20 years of experience in the field of hydraulics. Manufacturing based on the customer demands resulted in a wide range of products throughout the years; production of hydraulic presses, hydraulic pumps, steel constructions, metal poles, welding roles, etc. were carried out.
KAYAHAN is the first company in Turkey to produce workshop type press in mass production. Until 2000, around 10.000 pieces of special-purpose or workshop type hydraulic presses were produced in KAYAHAN. For example, 70 different patterned presses such as presses for cannonballs , rocket projectiles, dynamite capsules, detonators, gasmasks etc. were designed and manufactured for Mechanical and Chemical Industry Institution, which is one of oldest institution in Turkey.

In 1975, KONSANTAŞ Konya Casting Machinery Industry and Trading Co. was joined to business structure and the first step of becoming KAYAHAN Group was taken. With this step, casting became one of the capabilities of KAYAHAN Group. KAYAHAN was the first company to cast and process the water and fire valves. Kayahan has reached producing capacity over 10.000 valves per year with variable dimensions between 60 mm and 500 mm.
In the 1980s, 180 tons of Cast Iron and 250 tons of Slag Ladle Carriers were produced first time in Turkey by KAYAHAN for Turkey's biggest iron and steel enterprises ISDEMİR and ERDEMİR. This way KAYAHAN has stepped into a new industry. In the 1980s, KAYAHAN has started to produce cooling rollers for the steel industry, the first time in Turkey and the production has continued until the late 1990s.
In 1990s, hydraulic cylinders for iron and steel factories started to be produced. In addition to that, first hydraulic cylinder for iron and steel industry was exported in 1992.

Since 2000, production of hydraulic cylinders became our main focus and the other production lines were stopped. In 2000, having met the requirements of ISO 9001 quality standard, KAYAHAN has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification.

In 2016, KAYAHAN Group transformed into a Business group which is consisting of KAYAHAN, HIDROTUR and KONANTAŞ. This Group became the largest dimensional capacity of hydraulic cylinder manufacturer in Turkey with the capacity of 2m diameter or 23m length honing. All production processes except for heat treatment can be performed in our own facilities as hard chrome plating, honing, deep hole drilling, welding. Kayahan established its own NiCr plating facility at the beginning of 2015, beside many years of experience in hard chrome plating. Facilities are in 73.000m2 of which 32.000m2 is closed area.
Kayahan is expert on engineering & manufacturing heavy duty hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders based on customers’ requirements. Advantage of the company is the capability of manufacturing of large size hydraulic cylinders with high volume in short period of time. 100% quality control during manufacturing and assembly exhibits the difference of the company from other companies.

Kayahan has started its worldwide export activities in the 1990s. Present, %80 of the hydraulic cylinder products are exported to European countries, especially to Austria, Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine. Kayahan is Turkey’s export leader for heavy duty hydraulic cylinders for many years.
