Automha, acronym for AUTOmatic Material Handling, Headquarters in Azzano San Paolo (BG),
today has 160 employees and 7 international offices, including China and the USA and two
production sites. Founded in 1979 as a small crafts company, over the years it has evolved,
becoming a multinational leader in intra-logistics automation for each product sector. Precursor
and protagonist of many innovations in the world of automatic storage, the solutions proposed by
Automha range from storage, to the production line (also through automatic picking), to shipment
management.

The first prototypes date back to 1999 with Autosat, a semi-automatic shuttle that is based on
patented technologies and that has radically changed the storage dynamics of not completely
automated warehouses, making it possible to save considerable time and reduce the risk
associated with entry of the forklifts into the lane.

In 2010 it develops Autosatmover and Supercap, carriers for the management of high-performance
automatic warehouses equipped with a new source of power of military origin, specifically
supercapacitors, which are configured as a theoretically infinite reservoir of static energy, also
capable of tolerating temperatures ranging from -30 ° to + 55 °. In 2015 this project received the
Honorable Mention of the International Compasso d’Oro Design Award and in the same year the
company was awarded the Cerved Prize “Company to whatch”.
