Who we are and how it began

TECHWIND was established in 1987 as a family company and it has operated in the lift industry from the very beginning of its existence. The name originates from Polish, where “Tech” comes from technology and “Wind” is simply a short term for lift (pl: winda). The history of the company is strongly associated with the formation of capitalism in Poland – it was at the Gdańsk Shipyard that “Solidarity” emerged and a withdrawn from the managed economy begun. Gdańsk Shipyard was one of Techwind’s first customers.

Initially, it was only the assembly of lifts produced in Poland. Over time, we expanded the range of services and devices offered in order to keep up with market demands. At present, the company’s activity includes the design, production, delivery, assembly and service of all types of lifting equipment throughout Europe.

As a company managed by the owners, we are able to combine quick decisions, responsibility and many years of experience to not only meet the Customers’ expectations, but even exceed them.

We treat each project individually, because there are no two identical liftsfor us – this is the key to our success. We are not just responding to inquiries – we are here to advise you on the best solutions – both in terms of technology and cost-effectiveness.

We provide lifts for various purposes: starting from small service lifts, passenger lifts to large goods and cargo lifts, car lifts and lifts for special purposes.

In addition, we specialize in the installation of escalators, moving walkways and platforms for people with disabilities.
